Connect your QuickBooks Online account to sync bills, payments, and vendors to save time and eliminate double data entry. The sync is done automatically and you can also do it manually when needed.
Once you've completed scheduling a payment in pay business bills, your QuickBooks account is updated with the payment details.
There are 2 ways to sync with QuickBooks Online:
How to connect to QuickBooks Online from settings:
1. Sign in to pay business bills.
2. Go to Settings in the left sidebar and click Accounting Software Sync.
3. Under Quickbooks Online on the right, click Connect.
4. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account, if you’re not already logged in.
5. Allow Melio, our accounts payable provider, to access your QuickBooks Online information by clicking Continue.
6. Now you can check if the sync was successful.
- Go back to your pay business bills dashboard.
- In Settings, under Accounting Software Sync, you’ll see whether you’re synced.
How to connect to QuickBooks Online when adding a bill:
1. Sign in to pay business bills.
2. Go to the Bills tab.
3. Click Add bill.
4. When asked how you want to add a bill, select Sync with QuickBooks Online.
5. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account, if you’re not already logged in.
6. Allow Melio, our accounts payable provider, to access your QuickBooks Online information by clicking Continue.
7. Once connected, bills from your QuickBooks account will be synced to pay business bills. You can find them in the Bills tab.
Manual syncing
QuickBooks Online automatically syncs your data both ways. You can also manually sync them when needed.
You have 2 ways to manually sync your accounts:
1. Sync icon.
2. In Settings.
Here’s how to manually sync with the sync button:
The simplest way to see when the last sync was and manually sync is with the sync icon.
Once both accounts are connected, the sync button appears in the top right corner of the dashboard. It remains there regardless of the tab you’re in.
When you hover over it, you can see when the last sync happened. Click this icon to sync the two accounts manually.
Here’s how to manually sync from Settings:
1. Go to Settings.
2. Click Accounting Software Sync.
3. Click Sync now to perform a manual sync.
