How to change the details of a scheduled payment

Pay business bills lets you change your mind and edit the details of a payment even after you schedule it. 

You can edit a scheduled payment until it’s processed. 

  • When you’re paying with a bank account you can change the details before 9 pm ET/6 pm PT  on the deduction date.  
  • When paying with a credit/debit card you can change the details before 2 pm ET/11 am PT  on the deduction date.

Here’s how: 

1. Go to the Payments tab.

2. In the Scheduled sub-tab, find the payment you want to edit. 

NOTE: The difference between Scheduled status & In progress status.

You can edit the payment details up until it’s processed, at this stage it is labeled “Scheduled”. When the status changes to “In progress”, you can no longer edit it.

3. Click View details.

4. In the payment details section on the right, click Edit payment.

5. Edit the payment method, if you want. Click Continue. The current payment method is marked with a blue border.

6. Edit the delivery method, if you want. Click Continue. You can edit its details by clicking Edit next to the delivery method. Or, you can select a different delivery method.

Continue making the payment as usual.

7. In the Review & confirm screen, carefully check the payment details to make sure it was edited correctly.

8. Click Confirm and schedule payment to finish. 

That’s it. The payment was edited and scheduled successfully.
